Using Your Blends: Aromatherapy Shelf Life
Custom, Essence, Formula, Inspired, and Specialty Aromatherapy Blends are crafted from sustainably grown and harvested ingredients. I only use suppliers who can guarantee this. All blends are made-to-order.
Though Aroma Inhalers may be good for up to 2 years if stored unopened and in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, I recommend you plan to use them within 3 months of their Crafted Date for best therapeutic benefit as top note essential oils will begin to evaporate quickly.
The below blends are water-based and crafted without any preservatives (leading to a short shelf life) so you’ll need to use them within 1 month of their Crafted Date:
- All Purpose Cleaning Spray
- Bathroom Sprays
- Room Sprays
NOTE: To order one of the above blends with a longer shelf life (up to 1.5 years), please email me with the blend name (e.g., Clean Is Keen) and type (e.g., Bathroom Spray), specifying that you’re looking for a longer shelf life so that I can provide a price quote.
The below blends typically have a much longer shelf life when stored tightly sealed and in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, but, I recommend using them within 6 months of their Crafted Date:

- Body Washes = ≤ 1 year
- Butters = ≤ 3 years
- Clay Masks = ≤ 1.5 years

- Foaming Hand Soaps = ≤ 2 years
- Linen Sprays = ≤ 1.5 years
- Lip Balms = ≤ 3 years
- Lotions = ≤ 1 year
- Massage Oils = ≤ 1 year
- Personal Scent Sprays = ≤ 1.5 years
- Salt Scrubs = ≤ 3 years
- Soft Abrasive Scrub = ≤ 2 years
- Stock Bottles = ≤ 2 years
- Sugar Scrubs = ≤ 1.5 years
